Doula Certification · Business Building · Community
Build the skills. Build the business. Become the doula you're called to be.
Black Pearl Doula Collective is a doula training, certification, and business-building education brand based in McKinney, Texas, founded by Chanel Blackmore and focused on Black maternal health and culturally rooted support. It trains doulas in both doula skills and business operations through its three core programs: Doula Certification, Business Building, and Mastermind and Community. Black Pearl serves birth workers across Texas, California, Georgia, Florida, the DMV region, and New York, and families seeking culturally rooted support for birth, prenatal, postpartum, and menopause.

Why Black Pearl exists
Black maternal health is the heart of this work.
The CDC reported that in 2024, Black women experienced 44.8 maternal deaths per 100,000 live births, more than three times the rate for White women. Black Pearl trains doulas who respond with culturally aligned support, advocacy, and education, so families feel informed, respected, and accompanied.
The doula role is non-clinical
Doulas provide emotional, physical, and educational support. They help clients prepare questions, communicate with their care team, and understand their options. Doulas do not diagnose, treat, or replace physicians, midwives, or nurses.
Programs
Premium education for a purpose-led career.
Heritage · Expertise · Community
Ancestral wisdom meets professional training.
Black Pearl honors African American and Indigenous holistic traditions as sources of cultural connection, comfort, and community. Traditional practices are shared as heritage and wellness support, never as medical treatment, and always alongside licensed healthcare.
